… is a branch of mental health that uses both psychological and spiritual lenses to aid the process of healing from life’s hurts. Pastoral counselors do not impose their beliefs on clients, but are trained and willing to respond to spiritual questions as they may arise in the course of counseling. In this context I work with clients who are struggling with bereavement and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addictions and co-dependency, stress, and illness.

My areas of counseling expertise include cognitive-behavioral therapy, grief recovery, self-compassion, and mindfulness.

Clients say …

Lois has taught me the healing power of forgiveness, letting go, quieting the mind, relaxing the body, practicing good self-care, and using my faith to become grounded. She has given me the tools and caring support to help me through some of the most difficult challenges of my life.
